 Vivo! Toner
Toner (colored pigment powder) is the “ink” used by the Vivo!. The Vivo! uses four toner cartridges, one for each of the four CMYK process colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.
Vivo! toner is specially developed to print bright, deeply saturated colors at the high-temperature fusing process used by the Vivo! to print on label material in roll form. Its printing is highly resistant to UV light exposure, which means printing lasts as long as 15-20 years without fading! Its manufactured particles are small and uniform in size to enhance image reproduction with precise dot placement.
Toner cartridges and labels are the most frequently re-ordered Vivo! printing supplies.
 Vivo! Image Drums
Image drums transfer toner onto the label material, form your digital image. There are four image drums, one for each of the four CMYK process colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Each drum contains a small quantity of toner and corresponds to the toner cartridge of the same color.
Image drums last much longer than toner cartridges, but they are eventually consumed over time, showing faint areas of lighter printing (less toner deposition) until they are replaced.
 Vivo! Fuser
The Vivo!’s fuser melts the toner, bonding it to the label surface.
The fuser uses electric heating elements to melt toner onto the surface of the label material. Fusers have a long life, but eventually become worn and need replacement.
 Vivo! Transfer Belt
The Vivo!’s transfer belt controls the movement of the label material between the image drums and the fuser at very precise speeds.
Transfer belts have a long life, but eventually become worn and need replacement. A worn or damaged belt produces problems with print registration and color accuracy.
